Yes. Sign up with email or Google, create your workspace, and pick a plan. Stripe Checkout collects the card before your first billable action runs. There is no separate trial; credits are how you pay for everything in the product.
A credit is the single unit of usage for everything AI in LawGPT. Most things cost 1 credit (a chat reply, a review cell). Document summaries cost 3. Storage bills at 200 credits per gigabyte you keep around for a month. The same rates apply on Standard and Premium.
Subscription credits refresh at the start of each billing period and don't roll over: use it or lose it. Credits you buy as prepaid packs never expire and are spent only after subscription credits run out.
The action stops with a clear error and you can buy a prepaid pack from the billing page to keep going. Read-only access (browse files, read past chats and reviews) keeps working either way, so nothing in your matter goes dark.
Upgrades take effect immediately and you receive prorated credits for the rest of the period. Downgrades schedule for the end of the current period, so you keep the higher allowance until then. Cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal; you'll keep access until the period ends.
Yes. The billing page shows your subscription credits, purchased credits, and the last 30 days of activity. Owners and admins can also turn on spend warnings that flag uploads or reviews likely to consume a lot of credits before they run.
No. Matter content is not used to train, fine-tune, or evaluate models, whether ours or a third party's. AI inference runs against providers under agreements that prohibit training on API inputs.
